| The Alzheimer Café and other Information The Alzheimer Café UK is a small independent CIO (‘Charitable Incorporated Organisation’, no. 1165335), which was established in 2008 to support the original Alzheimer Café in the UK, and to help other Alzheimer Cafes to set up according to the original model. The first Alzheimer Café (AC) was started by Dr. Bere Miesen in the Netherlands in 1997.
